Hace dos días dejo este mundo "El diamante loco" Syd Barret, fundador de Pink Floyd y que sin esa visión musical que supuso en los 60's; los Floyd jamás hubieran exisitido.

Sólo hasta hoy se hizo pública esta noticia. Su muerte se debió a algunas complicaciones de su problema de Diabetes.

En fin, honor a quien honor merece y le pese a quien le pese, Barret fue uno de los pioneros de la vanguardia musical en los 60's.

Perdido en el abismo de la inmensidad 'floydiana', siempre estuvo ahí...

 Vaya... no me lo esperaba.  :cry: Deberían hacerle un homenaje.

Pues hace poco me compré un dvd de un documental en el cual, todos los miembros de Pink Floyd hablaban sobre Barrett.
El documental era más bien corto, pero se complementaba con unos extras de lujo: las entrevistas no editadas (completas), lo que hace unas tres horas de conversación.
Interesantísimo. Hablaban de cómo Barrett era un tipo luminoso, brillante, con un gran carisma. Y de cómo su estrella se fue apagando.
Se nota tristeza en ellos cuando hablan de Barrett, y no es para menos.
Que pasara de ser el líder carismático, el punto de referencia casi absoluto,  a alguien que entorpecía los conciertos y las grabaciones por su comportamiento anárquico e irresponsable, obligó a la banda a "echar" a Barrett y replantearse todo.
Al margen están las discusiones sobre si la época Barrett fue la mejor, o si lo fue la época Waters.
Una lástima la pérdida de Barrett   :cry:
Luego me pondré "The gnome" para recordarlo...
