Abajo os pongo la noticia en inglés pero viene a decir algo así como:

El Festival "Spoleto" (USA), abrirá su trigésima edición con uno de los más caros instrumentos musicales jamás creados: El carrillón de más de medio millón de dólares.

El invento consiste en 11 BMW's X5 y un 750Li de colores blanco y negro, emulando las teclas de un piano y equipados con altavoces en el techo. Cada uno de ellos está afinado en una nota que figurará en la placa de matrícula y ejecutarán una pieza durante la apertura del festival. El invento ha sido bautizado como el "harpsicar".

Hasta este año, el Spoleto estaba considerado como un festival de música clásica serio...  :-D

Unusual instrument opens Spoleto

The Spoleto Festival USA opened its 30th season on Friday with a
performance on one of the more expensive musical instruments even
created - the more than half-million dollar car-illon.

The car-illon consisted of 12 BMWs, both black and white, each
equipped with speakers on the roof.

During the opening ceremonies for the 17-day arts festival, the cars
in front of the Old Exchange Building each played one note on the
scale as a minimalist fanfare by composer Philip Glass was performed
on a keyboard.

Each car had a license plate displaying the note it performed while
little white lights around the speakers lit up each time a note was played.

The instrument consisted of eleven X5 sport utility vehicles and a
750Li, the so-called "harpsicar" where the music was played.
