BIO

In the year 2003 the two musicians formed and created W E L L E N F E L D, shaped from the electronic music from the last 20 years. They let influences exist from this time in their own sound, have however not the requirement "to invent again the wheel"but to mix different styles and develop them further. On these homepage you can experience something about W E L L E N F E L D, how they began before nearly 2 years and which goals they wish to pursue with their music.

1986 Andreas buys his first synthesizer at the age of 18. The idols at that time have been Depeche Mode, Front 242, Kraftwerk and others which have mainly influenced his music then.
   
During the next years his favourite music changed from the synthi-pop of the 80´s to the new techno and house style.
   
Even today the whole kind of music of the last 18 years influences the music of W E L L E N F E L D.
   
1994 Detlef and Andreas become acquainted with each other.
   
Until then, Detlef was only consumer of music, especially of synthsizer made music. His idols were TD, Klaus Schulze, Gandalf, J.M. Jarre, Peru, Rick Wakeman, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Eloy and a lot of others.
   
Andreas shows Detlef how to produce music with Pc Hard- and Software. So the own Pc becomes changed and upgraded, a midi-keyboard and a synth-rackmodul were bought to produce EM at home,too. Unforunately he couldn´t do it like he wanted because of his profession.
   
2002 Detlef becomes a member of Schallwende e.V.
   
2003 It´s the 25.01.2003. At the JHV of the Schallwende e.V. Sylvia Sommerfeld demands entries of musictitles for "Schallplatte 5"of all musicians. On the 26.01 .2003 Detlef reminds himself of Andreas request for a musical cooperation. They agree for a first meeting and the title "Monolith" becomes developed until March.
   
"Monolith" is published on "Schallplatte 5" in summer and became a huge success for W E L L E N F E L D in 2003.
   
When working on "Monolith" Andreas and Detlef notice how much fun they have in their cooperation and during the rest of the year they collected enough material to start W E L L E N F E L D´s first album.
   
2004 Again there is a JHV of the Schallwende e.V. and at the same time the publication of W E L L E N F E L D´s-CD "COSMIC WAVES".
