Pues lo que muchos nos temiamos, en los ultimos dias se ha hecho realidad, esta es la informacion que ha salido en un periodico de polonia , no estoy seguro si fue de ayer o de hoy,
de todas formas la traduccion al ingles seria esta:


It appears that Jean Michel Jarre's concert in the Gdansk Shipyard will not take place. The outdoor concert commemorating the 25 year existence of Solidarity was supposed to take place on the 27th of august. The official statement will appear on the 6th of july (today) - says "Rzeczpospolita" (polish newspaper).

The negotiations with JMJ began in august 2004. The year long negotiations resulted in nothing, which might mean that the concert will not take place.

One of the reasons might be the lack of agreement between Kontakt Agency (the producers) and TVP (polish television) concerning finances. The costs of this concert are (in their opinion) too big, and the interest of potential sponsors - too small.

200 thousand people were to attend the concert. JMJ was to perform an electronic version of Jack Kaczmarski's "Walls" along with Lech Wałęsa on stage.

The organisers are thinking about a plan B, perhaps asking Roger Waters to perform.

A mí sinceramente me resbala todo ésto.
Lo que seria realmente bueno,que haga una gira,como dijo hace unos meses,pero la verdad que viendo como van las cosas,ya no me creo casi nada.

Si a cada concierto de Jarre que se cancela nosotros montásemos una Rendez, acabaríamos fulminados en menos de un mes por las fuerzas destructivas del alcohol en forma de cirrosis :)

Luego se confirma que las Rendez no son más que unas reuniones de "Alcoholicos no anonimos"  :lol:

Pues no... el equipo de Jarre (Fiona y compañía) han hecho pública una nota en la que dicen que todo sigue adelante... la fuente creo que es JarreUK

"We would like to inform that on the 7th-8th July 2005, in Warsaw, there are to take place talks to finalize the preparations of the special concert of Jean Michel Jarre that is planned to be held on 27th August this year as the main artistic event of the 25th anniversary of signing the August Accords and the establishment of the Free Trade Union 'Solidarnosc'.

The City of Gdansk Foundation, Polish Public Television and the Lech Walesa Institute have managed to resume the negotiations regarding the organization of the concert, and the deadlock of this unique event has now been broken.

Jean Michel Jarre's Manager, Ms Fiona Commins, has immediately took up the talks to finalize the project and is working with great enthusiasm in order to sign the contract and to start the technical preparations.

The President of the Lech Walesa Institute, Piotr Gulczynski, spoke to Jean Michel Jarre's Management yesterday, and the interested entities along with Polish Public Television will reopen the talks tomorrow.

Si el problema era que a la televisión polaca le parecía demasiado caro, la solución habrá sido recortar el presupuesto entonces. Nada de petarditos ni lasers, que consumen mucho, ni grandes decorados, Jarre y su partner in crime solos en un tablao flamenco, ala  :mrgreen:

Hombre, el triángulo de la portada del GOL ya lo tocó sin playback...

Jarre es como el escritor que citais, se pasa años explicando los proyectos que nunca va a realizar y luego concediendo hipoteticas entrevistas sobre sus eventos, luego.......se cancelan.

JULY 9TH: Jean Michel Jarre's Management have confirmed to JARRE UK today, that Jean Michel Jarre's proposed Concert for the 25th Anniversary of the Solidarity Union, in the Gdansk Shipyards, Gdansk, Poland, has now been officially confirmed, after all contracts were signed yesterday.

As previously reported, Jean Michel Jarre's Management travelled to Warsaw this week, to resume negotiations with the relevant parties after the Kontakt Agency (Concert Promoters) resigned from the project this week, after failing to reach a compromise with TVP (Polish National TV).

Jean Michel Jarre's Management have confirmed, that the 2-Hour Concert will now take place as planned, but a day earlier, on August 26th 2005, for an estimated audience of 100,000 people. TVP (Polish National TV) have also confirmed that they will televise the Concert 'LIVE' on Channel TVP1.

Tickets for Jean Michel Jarre's Concert are expected to go on-sale, for an estimated amount of 30 Zloty (about 5 UK Pounds or 7.5 Euros), after Jean Michel Jarre has held a Press Conference in Warsaw, at the beginning of August 2005, to officially announce the Concert...WATCH THIS SPACE!!!
