Tangerine Dream actuará el viernes 25 de marzo en el Starmus Festival programado en el Palacio de Arte y Congresos MAGMA de Tenerife:

2011 is coming and Tangerine Dream announce their first concert in the new year:
"STARLIGHT CONCERT: THE GATE OF SATURN" (mostly new composed material!)
CANARY ISLANDS - SPAIN, TENERIFE
FRIDAY, 25th MARCH 2011 at MAGMA ARTS and CONGRESS HALL

Tangerine Dream has been invited by Prof. Dr. Garik Israelian (IAC), astrophysicist and representative of the STARMUS
Festival honoring the legendary Cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, who became the first man in space in April 1961. This ceremony
- covering conferences, exhibitions and concerts etc. - will be held in the extraordinary Magma Art & Congress Hall,
Tenerife, in the presence of internationally leading astronauts, scientists and well-known artists.
The Starmus Festival was initiated by the Canarian Institute for Astrophysics (IAC ) which hosts among others an
excellent Observatory with the important Gran Telescopio Canarias (GTC). It's a pleasure for Tangerine Dream to present
their latest compositions in a real cosmological and scientific atmosphere.

Me refiero a qué formación tienen hoy en día...

Pues aparte de Edgar tenemos a Linsa Spa, Thorsten Quaeschning, Iris Camaa y Bernhard Beibl. 

Casi la misma formación del concierto en DVD que tengo de ellos en 2005: Edgar Froese, Jerome Froese, Thorsten Quaeschning, Linda Spa, Iris Camaa, Zlatko Perica.

Me refiero a qué formación tienen hoy en día...

Pues aparte de Edgar tenemos a Linsa Spa, Thorsten Quaeschning, Iris Camaa y Bernhard Beibl. 

Casi la misma formación del concierto en DVD que tengo de ellos en 2005: Edgar Froese, Jerome Froese, Thorsten Quaeschning, Linda Spa, Iris Camaa, Zlatko Perica.

La verdad, no he seguido mucho la trayectoria de TD en los últimos años, pero sí he leído que han tenido una especie de "renacer", que vuelven a hacer buena música e interesantes directos.

Por lo visto Jerome Froese se fue de Tangerine Dream, y desde entonces el único que compone para Tangerine Dream es Edgar Froese, con alguna colaboración puntual. En los conciertos lleva a toda esa gente con él. Musicalmente desconozco por dónde andan.

Adrián, si yo tuviera este concierto a tiro como tú, sólamente por ver a Edgar Froese no me lo perdería :wink:

Cuesta creer que Edgar Froese se haya quedado sin ideas a estas alturas y tenga que recurrir a material ajeno... acaso ha escuchado el último de Peter Gabriel y quiere experimentar por ese camino?. Además, va a ser interesante escuchar esas versiones mas cuando las originales ya son himnos electrónicos amén de otros clásicos del rock...  por lo pronto hay un tema que se repite en este de TD y el de PG.

Esto sería una interpretación muy simplista de "mostly new composed material!"...

Los temas que has citado son los del CD "UNDER COVER" que será puesto a la venta próximamente.

En las mismas fechas también se publicará la 5ª y última parte de la serie THE FIFTH ATOMIC SEASON (The Endless Season).

Mi interpretación de "mostly new composed material!" es que la MAYOR PARTE del concierto serán temas NO PUBLICADOS anteriormente.
